Saludos Cordiales from Salsa y Son! We are a Costa Rican salsa band that performs ONLY originally composed pieices, all with a strong Costa Rican salsa flavour and identity. Our musicians and partners have amassed over 25 years of experience, and have produced over 150 original songs.
ECOSALSA
Salsa y Son and the Cayuga group are the creators of a new musical concept called "Eco Salsa," an ideology that promotes the importance of ecology, nature preservation and sustainable practices.
Our musical themes express the unbridled joy found in Costa Rican salsa and dance, making it the perfect genre for tropical music lovers. Our production is 100% carbon free and uses only recycled materials, such as packaging extracted from banana leaves. Our efforts have led to national and international praise.
We are regular invitees to the most spectacular salsa convention in the world, the famous Puerto Rico World Salsa Congress (see story here).
Salsa y Son has also made guest appearances in salsa-mad Spain to great aplomb, despite the country's reputation for having one of the highest salsa expectations in the world (see our performances in Spain here)
